We are extremely proud to be able to announce the appointment of founder and ex-CEO of Good Energy, Juliet Davenport OBE, as a board advisor.
With over two decades of experience as a climate scientist and environmental entrepreneur, Juliet will bolster the Solivus leadership team with her unique expertise in energy supply, trading, regulation, electric vehicles, distributed and onsite energy.
Our board, led by founder and CEO Jo Parker-Swift, already includes heavyweight industry figures such as COO Matt Black, chair of Solar Energy UK.
Drawing on her experience of founding, scaling and listing a hugely successful clean energy business, Davenport will guide Solivus as it continues to disrupt the rooftop solar market with its thin-film alternative to traditional solar panels.
Juliet comes with an extraordinary track record as a renewable pioneer, having founded Good Energy - the UK’s first 100% renewable electricity supplier - in 2000. During her 20-year tenure as CEO, Good Energy established the UK’s market for clean energy, making early moves into solar, wind generation, battery storage, electric vehicles as well as becoming a credible competitor to the ‘Big 6’ energy suppliers. The company’s commercial success saw Good Energy IPO in 2012 and it remains one of the UK’s few profitable energy providers.
Having stepped down as CEO last March, Juliet now holds a number of high-profile advisory roles including as an NED at Good Energy, chairperson at Zapmap and Atrato Onsite Energy, a renewables investment trust focusing on UK commercial rooftop solar - all organisations which are focused on speeding up the transition to electric vehicles and commercial rooftop solar.
Commenting on the appointment, Solivus CEO Jo Parker-Swift, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Juliet to Solivus to support us as we accelerate our growth and disrupt the rooftop solar market. Her invaluable experience from Good Energy, and deep energy market knowledge make her the perfect addition to our senior leadership team. We’re excited she will be joining us on the journey to decarbonise Britain’s homes and businesses.”
Juliet Davenport adds: “I’m pleased to be working with Jo and the wider Solivus team on their mission to deliver cost-effective clean energy generation. I can see huge opportunities for its ultra-thin and lightweight solar film solutions - with major potential to transform how we power homes and businesses in the UK and eventually overseas. Solivus has made incredible progress to date and I look forward to helping the team take the business to the next level”.
We are currently fundraising to help scale our operations and expand our team to meet growing client demand. In addition to institutional investment from leading venture investors Founders Factory and G-Force, we also have a live Crowdcube crowdfunding campaign, enabling investors to purchase shares in Solivus.
